How do I know if my products are working?

Have you ever wondered if your skincare products are working?

Here is My Best Esthetician Answer, in the form of a tiny quiz:

1. Are you using the products as recommended? (Yes or No)
   The truth is, products probably aren’t working if you’re not using them consistently as recommended.
   
   A Typical Regimen:
   1. -Cleanse AM/PM
   2. Vitamin C AM (Watch this video on why you need Vit C in your skincare HERE)
   3. Serum AM and/or PM (Learn about the best hydrating-firming regenerating serum HERE)
   4. Serums PM (Mostly serums with anti-aging or acne-fighting properties)
   5. Moisturizer AM/PM
   6. SPF AM
2. Are your products recommended by a professional who took the time to assess your skin correctly? (Yes or No)
   Suppose you haven’t had your skin assessed by a professional and play the skincare guessing game. Buying from an influencer on Instagram or an ad from Amazon is a game of roulette that I don’t think anyone should roll the dice on. My best advice would be to get a skin consultation and a facial from a licensed esthetician. This is your face we’re talking about!
3. Are you giving the products a chance to work? (Yes or No)
   I find too many clients get sucked into the Buy and Try cycle. This is where you buy an expensive product, try it for a week, and get bored or disappointed when you don’t see a significant wow immediately. You buy something new the next time you’re shopping. **You spend/waste a lot of money when you become a victim of this cycle.
   ** TRUTH: Changes in the skin take time, and you have to give your products at least a month of consistent usage to start to see change because that’s the bare minimum it takes for new skin cells to reach the outermost layer of the skin.
